Lauren LaVine

Lauren's first music lesson was in 1974—and he was immediately stricken by an incurable love of music. Since that time he has learned, practiced, performed, conducted, and taught music. Lauren holds a bachelor's degree in music (summa cum laude) from St. Cloud State University (Minnesota, USA). His 23-year career in the United States Marine Corps culminated in his posting as Director & Officer in Charge, Marine Forces Pacific Band (Hawaii). Following retirement from the Marine Corps in 2007 Lauren relocated to Australia where he teaches from his private studio near Sydney.
