William Hunter

William Hunter, retired band director, is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Masters Degree in Music Education and is an alumnus of the Redcoat Band. He is a life member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and maintains membership in MENC, GMEA, NBA, and EUSPBA. Mr. Hunter is both a clarinetist and a bagpiper and has performed with numerous organizations including Tara Winds Community Band for the past 20 years. In 2003 one of his band arrangements was performed at the University of Georgia Janfest; in 2007 another of his compositions was performed at the Georgia Music Educators Association Conference, and in 2009 his latest composition for band was premiered in Atlanta by the Tara Winds.
