James R. Zuniga received his formal training at San Jose State University and has worked with Higo Harada, Dr. Brent Heisinger, W. Francis Macbeth, Dr. David Whitwell, Dr. Charlene Archibeque, Dr. David Goedecke and Tim Smith. He is in his 35th year as a music educator and is currently the Music Director for San Benito High School in Hollister. Mr. Zuniga has had extensive compositional and arranging experience in the high school band and orchestral field. His experience includes fieldshow/concert, parade marches, jazz ensemble and orchestral works. He is currently an adjudicator for the Northern California Band Association and is a member of ASCAP.
