Lauri Hämäläinen

Lauri Hämäläinen is the author of Violin Friends and Viola Friends. He is teaching young violin- and viola players in Helsinki, Finland. He has been conducting different string orchestras (and making their arrangements) since 2004.

Violin Friends music material gives students and teachers the possibility to practice and perform music together with their friends right from the start of the instrumental studies. Much of music are arranged for 2 or 3 players and the basic idea behind all arrangements for violin ensembles is to build up a strong bonding feeling with each performing group.

All of the music in Violin Friends and Viola Friends music books can easily be studied at home with the help of simplified piano parts, mp3 backing tracks and play-along Youtube videos (Violin Friends Youtube channel).
