This score was created in the key of C Major to facilitate performance by avoiding the dropped-D tuning found in most transcriptions of the Pachebel Canon in D.
This transcription in the key of C Major has fewer sharps and flats and so is easier to read. The transcription for solo guitar retains the original character of the piece and sounds wonderful.
