One of my summer songs, here are the verses I wrote down with it:
I was wandering in a dream,
I was passing through a night;
Everything in darkness seem,
Then came morning so bright.
Let me hear the pleasing sound,
From the breeze and the birds;
Surly I will become spellbound,
And lost for all spoken words.
Through the day and sunshine,
All my worries be forgotten;
To these beauties I do confine,
What the darkness had abandon.
Music of the day so tender,
Let me hear it clear and within;
Music of the sincere splendour,
'For the silences of night begin.
Music of the day's now singing,
Have you ever more beauty heard;
All the evening it is in bringing,
Oh I am lost for a spoken word.
Yours truly, (click on my name) Peter S. Quinn
Score Exchange has two methods of display previews of music: seView which uses regular html and javascipt and the Scorch plug-in from Avid which needs to be downloaded and installed onto your computer. Both have advantages and disadvantages:
You do not need to install any additional software to use seView.
Scorch is a free plug-in from Avid for displaying and printing music. It can also play the music that you're seeing. Scorch generally works well if you're using a windows computer, but is currently not compatible with modern Mac computers or mobile devices.
If your web browser does not install Scorch automatically, you can click here to download and install scorch manually.
