I started writing a series of short single movement pieces for solo instruments when I was in college. Though my original intent was to write several, I wrote only 2 back then, one for oboe, and one for viola. Recently, I got back in touch with two college friends via Facebook both of whom are flutists. That inspired me to write this Soliloquy some 30 years after the first two. There may be more to come now.
