The Sailors’ Hornpipe (the ’getting-faster one’) is here joined by the other well-known hornpipe, Arethusa, and two slower pieces - Tom Bowling and Spanish Ladies. I have ensured that each instrument shares in the fun, and if the hornpipes are a bit too challenging for some players, the other two pieces are easily manageable. This is the original arrangement, which I later rearranged for Flute Choir by request.
