I always felt uncomfortable playing the written scores and to adjust to the stave, I preferred to improvise starting from the melodic line and then, get the music by ear. Any musician that read this lines should know that this is not something original and new, it’s something that many of us do, and in Argentine we call to play “on the grill” and to allow the imagination and the improvisation to fill the music space that the notes do not show. Also, trying to make enrich the harmonies of this pieces, I got close to the jazz and then I met the “REAL BOOK”, a universal book of that music genre where the pieces are only shown with their harmonica and own code. In that way was this book born, that has the original goal of follow all the needed steps to be edited and distributed on a legal way, with the editorial authorizations and the deposits that are established by the laws in Argentina. All of this was possible after visiting numerous music editorials, SADAIC, the national direction of intellectual property and lots of friends that are related to the music and it’s legal aspects.. I must say that on this road I have found kindness, care and respect, things that I appreciate deeply. I hope this is the first edition of this Project, and that it can be followed by further corrections and expansions that could help those who love the tango and enjoy this way of musical writing.
