This Carol was originally one of eleven pieces of incidental music composed for the Choir of St. Margaret’s School, Bushey, Hertfordshire for a performance of the Lincoln Mystery Plays in the School Hall in 1988. Subsequently, it has been used by Choirs, sometimes year after year, in UK and USA. See also the version for SATB a cappella.
