When planning our wedding some three decades ago, I realised that the aisle in the small Norman Church in Devon where we were to be married would take only a minute or so to traverse. Determined not to have the Bridal Chorus at any price, I composed a short piece to accompany the Bride's Entry. I wanted the music to reflect the sense of a real turning point in two lives and to capture something of the unique feeling of the occasion.
