This is a beautiful ballad written for full concert band, with extra tuned percussion such as thee marimba, adding an exotic timbre to the piece, reminiscent of long days on the beaches of the Trobriand Islands in Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea; with a cocktail or two in hand.

The melody is a traditional melody from the South Pacific, probably from Tonga or Fiji.

I performed the piece at a dinner in honour of the King & Queen of Tonga and the former PM of Australia Paul Keating, when I was in Papua New Guinea, and it went down very well indeed!.
