Some 20 years ago I bought the collection for voice and guitar � �Jiddische Volkslieder� - Jewish (Yiddish) folk songs, arranged by prof. Andre Asriel (Berlin), who recently kindly authorized me to make this transcription for voice, violin, cello and piano.
Yiddish is (or presently, sadly, we almost can say �was�) the language of Germanic group with some Hebrew, Slavic and other lingual features. Having heard this language alive, as well as live singing of Jewish songs, I remain with painful feeling of deep loss: this culture is going away�
