Johann Strauss (1825-1899), the "WaltzKing" also wrote numerous polkas, galops, schottisches, and quadrilles, in addition to his 13 operettas. This was written in collaboration with his talented brother Josef. The "Pizzicato" Polka (as its name suggests) was originally written for string orchestra. Here it is arranged for clarinet quartet (three B-flat clarinets and a bass clarinet).
