Dr. Hope Davis came to Imperial Valley College as my replacement when I retired. She also accepted the position as music director for one of the local churches. Ena Jane Fugate, ane of the violinists of my orchestra (and who also happens to be a fine alto singer), sings in the church choir under Dr. Davis. In conversation, Dr. Davis mentioned that, as she is also a violist, she was looking for someone to play duos with, but had no music available after her move. Jane asked me if I had any violin/viola duets, and so this is the first of a new set.
