"Ronde" is the third and final song of Maurice Ravel's "Trois Chansons", "Three Songs", written for unaccompanied choir between December 1914 and February 1915 whilst he was waiting to be enlisted in the army.� Ravel himself also wrote the texts for them.� "Ronde" was dedicated to Mme Paul Clemenceau, the sister - in - law of the past and future prime minister George Clemenceau (France).
