I came up with this arrangement for the Christmas of 2000. It is loosely based on the original of 1534 when it was used in the "Pageant of the Shearmen and Tailors" to depict the slaughter of the children by King Herod. The length of this version is deliberately short so that it does not cause endurance problems for young players. This arrangement has a wide selection of instrumental parts for flexible orchestration. This work is also available in a number of orchestrations. Please see links below.
