In 1717, Duke of Chandos invited Handel to live at his palace, Canons, in Middlesex. He composed several masterpieces including Chandos Anthems and concerto grossi in a wonderful atmosphere. Chandos Anthems consist of three voices with orchestra (Oboe, Violin I/II, Bass continuo).　The texts are all based on Psalms． Chandos Anthem No.3 "Have mercy upon me" HWV248 consists of the following parts. I. Sonata (orchestra) II. Chorus (a3) III. Duet (Cantus & Tenore) IV. Solo (Tenore) V. Chorus (a3) VI. Solo (Cantus) VII. Chorus (a3)
