Marching Through Georgia was written by the American Henry Clay Work, one of America's most popular songwritters of the 19th century.
I remember playing this particular arrangement in the US Army All Ranks Club at their base in Okinawa, we were stuck in a typhoon, way back in 1969. Our American cousins thought it was a knockout !!
