I wrote this concerto not to "push the envelope", but to break into (learn) composition. It is one of my first large compositions and is influenced by my background playing folk guitar and listening to lots of Mozart. It is numbered No. 3 because I delayed my decision to publish it. Violin Concerto No. 1, composed earlier this year (2009), is my latest concerto.
