This is an arrangement for nine brass instruments - I suppose a nonet - of the famous song from Rigoletto. The mp3 will give a better impression than the midi. It has been set as a Baritone feature, as I felt the Baritone was a better match for the Duke of Mantua’s voice. The full compliment is:
2 cornets in Bb 2 Tenor Horns Bb Baritone Trombone Bass Trombone Euphonium Eb Bass
(UK Brass Band instrumentation)
Thanks Kevin, for your very helpful review. I have ’cleaned up’ the bass part, but I can’t think of any way to clean up the other parts without losing the crispness I want or without making it - to my eyes - more difficult to read! If anyone can suggest a way, please feel free.
Thanks, too, go to David Monks for his kind comments about this and the other new arrangement. I’m always open to advice and criticism and it’s really good that people are willing to share their thoughts on my work. Thanks all.
Score Exchange has two methods of display previews of music: seView which uses regular html and javascipt and the Scorch plug-in from Avid which needs to be downloaded and installed onto your computer. Both have advantages and disadvantages:
You do not need to install any additional software to use seView.
Scorch is a free plug-in from Avid for displaying and printing music. It can also play the music that you're seeing. Scorch generally works well if you're using a windows computer, but is currently not compatible with modern Mac computers or mobile devices.
If your web browser does not install Scorch automatically, you can click here to download and install scorch manually.
