This arrangement for concert band and Baritone Sax makes use of an instrument which is seldom featured in a concert band. this version of Fucik’s "Der Alte Brummbaer" tries to play with the comic nature of the solo instrument. I picture this tune as a piece where the sax represents the old grumbler who doesn’t necessarily wish to go as fast as the rest of the band. It’s a piece to have fun with. I hope you enjoy it as well.
