This is the second movement of ’Bassoonery’, a little suite I wrote for the Oxfordshire Youth Bassoon Ensemble, whose players ranged from Grade 2 to Grade 8. They played it in the original 5-part version,in which 2 of the parts are easy. As the original version had rather a lot of rests I’ve condensed it into 4 parts of more equal difficulty. Spot the quotation from a 1960s song with a similar title.This version is for four bassoons.I am also providing a version for 3 bassoons and a contra.
