The usual 4tet line up Pno/Bass/Dms/Guit with plenty of room for improvising. The original version was a trio which prompted the following review :-Funkiness to the max.
My apologies for the title of this review but I think it is justified. The chords are indeed very funky. I know a pianist who would have a fit if she saw this.. Then she would practice it for weeks on end so we could jam properly to it. Chords are great, melodies are great - all very funky.
Since then it has grown up and needs to be recognised. Perhaps you could be the one.
