The Ouverture in G minor (BWV 1070) is usually attributed to his son WF Bach. It is certainly not by Bach though it was found amongst the manuscripts including the other 4 Ouvertures. This one is in a 'pre-Classical' style and is a variant on the usual Baroque French Overture with dances. The 'Prelude' opens with a gentle Andante that leads to a fugal Allegro, so structurally like a French Overture. The whole suite translates well as a recorder quartet.
