Schubert’s Ave Maria is here arranged for medium voice and string orchestra (key of G Major). While the first and second violin, cello, and bass parts copy Schubert’s original piano version; the viola adds a third triadic note implied by Schubert’s original diads to the moving upper voices. The three upper string parts have been fingered to make the arpeggiated string crossings easier.
