You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.’Dr. Sigmund Freud’, comes from the song cycle, ’Retro 2000’, and highlights the work of the German Psychiatrist who,during the period known as, ’Fin de siecle’, turned the way we thought the human brain stored information and dealt with the memories of the events in our lives, on its head (no pun intended). ’The interpretation of dreams’ set out challenging new ideas which the establishment of the time could not easily accept.
’Retro 2000’, can be produced as a musical. There is a script which takes the form of a game show where a variety of celebrities are asked to assess some of the significant events of the twentieth century and decided whether they were progressive or regressive in nature. The audience also get involved and their opinions are canvassed via two cards which they hold up to signify their opinion on each of the events. Should we remember them and keep them in our Conscious mind (C card) or are they best forgotten, stored in our Unconscious mind (U card).
