"Silent Movie Man', comes from the song cycle, 'Retro 2000', and, as the title suggests, is about the end of the cinematographic era of silent movies. As the lyric says, the talkies put these bygone legends on the shelf. The song has a 'country' feel to it and was performed in the production (mentioned below) as a line dance. Students of any age will enjoy performing this song!

'Retro 2000', was produced as a full scale musical performance, the songs being linked to sketches that took the form of a game show. A group of guests from various backgrounds were asked to assess whether certain notable events of the century were progressive or regressive in nature.
