This piece might make a good Cornish addition to music commemorating a patriotic event and is an arrangement for the composer’s granddaughter, for Clarinet in Bb of his March written to commemorate the lighthouse and watch post at Pendeen in West Cornwall, at the western tip of England, which protects the shipping in the Irish Sea at this rocky point. It ends with a quotation of the hymn which prays for ’those in peril on the sea.’
