Mozart's trios for 3 basset horns will always be popular, due to them being simple and accessible on one level and interesting and satisfying music on another. They are easily transcribed for other instruments (saxophones in this case) and are extremely useful as concert material, background music and for teaching. The first movement from the second divertimento can ideally be played with alto, tenor and baritone saxes, but I have supplied extra parts making it playable with virtually any number and any combination of instruments.
