These were in part inspired by a concert I attended where the wind music of Elliot Carter was performed. The sonorities of the wind instruments in a chamber setting, along with program notes quoting from lectures on composing for winds Mr. Carter made as a professor, stirred me to write this. Although my music falls far short of the caliber of Mr. Carter's, I hope you will all find it enjoyable. I have tried to create some awe and some fun in equal parts measure. Perhaps wind players will give this life. Edit: I have added more dynamics and some slurs along with the new MP3. I hope you enjoy. I have not updated the extracted parts as I may make more such minor changes and so far no notes themselves have been changed.
