There have been many adaptations of the "Gliding Dance of the Maidens", or simply "Girls Dance".� Most notably as the song "Stranger In Paradise" in the 1953 musical "Kismet"; and, in 1940 Artie Shaw, a fantastic clarinettist, recorded "My Fantasy", which has a tune almost identical to this dance.
