"Nobody Knows the Trouble I've Seen" is a traditional Negro spiritual. The song is also well known as an evergreen jazz tune, and many cover versions of it have been recorded. Probably the best known is that by the great Louis Armstrong, a jazz trumpeter and vocalist, who is a true "Master of Jazz".
