Mussorgsky's well-known piano piece "Pictures at an Exhibition" was orchestrated nearly 50 years after his death by Maurice Ravel. This 'Promenade' is the short piece heard by the listener as he is moved from painting to painting. It occurs several times throughout the piece in different lengths and forms.

This arrangement features a supplemental third violin part, plus a bass part for use with string orchestra.

  • This piece celebrated its 1,000th "view" on August 31st, 2004 - 31 months after it was submitted to the site. Thank you one and all for giving it a look! *
