You are purchasing high quality sheet music PDF files suitable for printing or viewing on digital devices.This piece was composed in 2009 with material from 1954 In fact the theme I used for the variations in this movement turned out to the same theme Charles Ives used in his second string quartet. I didn't learn this until the 1970's when I was working on an Ives recording. I might add that Ives died in 1954! I notice also, that a certain amount of my native American background (Mohawk) is in evidence in some of the sounds produced in this composition along with American folk song.
