It is thought it was written as a satire on the style of other composers and performers.
Mozart’s original music was adapted by the Argentinian composer Waldo da los Rios and was used as the theme tune for the"Horse of the Year Show" on BBC TV in the UK.(He added rock drums and added other instruments)
The obvious joke is in the end where Mozart writes each instrument in a different key…..the horns finish in F, but the others are in Eb,G,A and Bb!!
