We constructed a Garden of Tranquility in our local park a few years ago, where people could find some solace and peace. It's for anyone to use, but it came about as a result of the devastation of many local families as a result of the many murders committed by a certain doctor. (He eventually committed suicide in prison). I suggested that we commission a film to document the whole process, and when the company was putting the film together, the producer said that they were looking for a suitable piece of music to add accompany the film. I remembered that I'd written this piece, which at the time was without a title, although the images it conjured up in my mind as I wrote it were very much in line with the elements of the Garden of Tranquility such as Roses, sensory herbs, trickling water etc. So I let them listen to this piece, they used it, and it have me a title. Hence the 'Garden of Tranquility' Be sure to listen to the MP3 rather than the midi.

Which method of viewing music should I use?

Score Exchange has two methods to display previews of music: seView which uses regular html and javascipt and the Scorch plug-in from Avid which needs to be downloaded and installed onto your computer. Both have advantages and disadvantages:

seView, is the most compatible option. You should be able to view music on all modern web browsers including most mobile devices. Even if your device does not support javascript you should still be able to preview at least page one of the music.

You do not need to install any additional software to use seView.

Scorch is a free plug-in from Avid for displaying and printing music. It can also play the music that you're seeing. As modern web browsers are updated, Scorch is no longer compatible with many browsers. Scorch has never been compatible with mobile devices and some web browsers on Mac computers.

If your web browser does not install Scorch automatically, you can click here to download and install scorch manually.
