This is the last Prelude in a set of six for Flute or Recorder or any other suitable instrument and is the only 4tet in the set. Those of you who are pianists will understand the knickname subtitle ’Mesmer’ when you come to play it. My old teacher once said that if I could write a piece of music with only one chord that was not boring I would be famous; this is as close as I got which explains why I’m not.
