"Kumbayah" (Gullah, "Come By Here", or "Kum ba yah") is a traditional African-American spiritual. It enjoyed newfound popularity during the folk revival of the 1960s and became a standard campfire song in Scouting and other nature-oriented organizations. The song was originally associated with human and spiritual unity, closeness and compassion, and it still is in many places around the world. Robert Millers Brethren Brass arrangement is meant to be a pleasant and unexpected harmonic journey. Listen to the MP3 recording by The Brethren Brass for a "real" and accurate performance.
