This publication is based off of the manuscript held by the Augsburg Stadtbibliotek. The title page doesn't mention guitar I as a terz guitar, however, it is likely to be the case as the guitars parts are written in two keys a minor third apart. However, a case could be made that the bass guitar would be tuned a minor third lower, because the strings parts that accompany this work are in the same key as the primary key. If the above is correct then this is a new tuning concept that I have never seen in the historical development of the guitar.
