Although not technically demanding, it requires a huge amount of control and musicianship to bring off to full effect. Originally written for Saxophone Quartet, it was arranged for Clarinets by request and I think is even more effective with this scoring. It is part of a suite of dances, each "Elizabethan" in style but all become rather more ER II as they progress.
