This version of "Sigh No More" was written for a production of "Much Ado About Nothing" which was set in the 1920s. The songs and dances I wrote reflected some of the jazz styles associated with that era. The choice of acoustic guitar here was inspired in part by John Dowland’s lute songs which were written when Shakespeare was writing his plays.

As is always the case with such guitar parts the notation and TAB are merely guides to performance and players should adapt the chord patterns to suit their own playing styles. The singer should add blue notes, slides and bends as they wish.

Though this was performed at a fairly swift pace in our production, you may wish to slow it down and give it more of a "bluesy" feel
