The collection is called "The Prophecies". "Unto Us" comes from Isaiah 9:1, 5-6. It is scored with four-part writing for the women and the men of your choir and is written as a proclamation. Part of the text is sung in Hebrew to emphasize the strength of the text and to bring out the ethnicity of the text. The layered harmonies and the antiphonal phrases bring celebration, awe and wonder to the listener.
