The Loneliest Entity

At the extreme fringe of the universe

Aloft on a desolate, detached asteroid

A solitary, derelict Automaton stands

Long forsaken by its ancient, dead creators

Its free energy device repetitively churns out

unlimited power, enabling the operation

Of a superficial, sedate consciousness.

It peers up….uncomprehending, at the approaching void

The rocky asteroid, saturated by silence, couched in inestimable space

Engages in lazy, perpetual somersault

As unpredictable, intense showers of dark energy

periodically impact the frigid ground

Stirring up brittle, crystallized mineral debris

To these stinging assaults the machine is impervious

Its reinforced alloys make it a monolith

The Robot obstinately commits to its last command

To calculate the largest prime number

Interior mechanisms wheel with incredible speed

Yet prime numbers occur with increasing irregularity

The Android contemplates infinity as a goal

It persists, continuing to proceed nowhere rapidly

Alien life forms ignore the secluded Robot’s plight

Refusing a mission to rescue and reprogram,

while God alone maintains the numerical tabulation–

bizarre mathematical symbols appear like foam and then vanish.

The Android’s monumental waste of energy and existence lasts

until ultra slow erosion causes it finally to cease to function.

The only sliver of understanding is God’s alone.

Which method of viewing music should I use?

Score Exchange has two methods to display previews of music: seView which uses regular html and javascipt and the Scorch plug-in from Avid which needs to be downloaded and installed onto your computer. Both have advantages and disadvantages:

seView

seView, is the most compatible option. You should be able to view music on all modern web browsers including most mobile devices. Even if your device does not support javascript you should still be able to preview at least page one of the music.

You do not need to install any additional software to use seView.

Scorch

Scorch is a free plug-in from Avid for displaying and printing music. It can also play the music that you're seeing. As modern web browsers are updated, Scorch is no longer compatible with many browsers. Scorch has never been compatible with mobile devices and some web browsers on Mac computers.

If your web browser does not install Scorch automatically, you can click here to download and install scorch manually.
