It is #29 in the score and comes towards the end of the work, which lasts over 2 hours in it’s entirety. This arrangement is a bit of a workout for the clarinetist, who takes on the rolling triplet arpeggios that dominate the accompaniment, but beyond that the challenge of the piece lies more in phrasing and musicality than in technique. This piece would work equally well in a concert setting or as a prelude, postlude, or offeratory for church services. It is in the original key, so this could also be used to accompany a choir singing the original vocal parts.
