This song is about a dog, but not just any dog. This is the Queen’s pet. When I first invented it, this song arose as a basic chord and vocal combination. Over time, though, an arpeggio version developed in my mind, and I began playing it this way on the piano. By the time I was able to first notate it in 2007, lots of stuff was going on. Then in 2012, I worked on the arrangement again.
