The sax is a great instrument, but it came late to the musical world and missed out on lots of baroque and classical fun. This piece is a lighthearted remedy to that, flitting through a variety of styles but eventually returning to what the sax does best - swing.
The quartet is an easy read for advanced players or will provide less experienced readers with a suitable challenge. For the audience, it’s an easy listen.
The soprano part can be adapted to be played on an alto if required. Get in touch if you’d like a help with that or feel free to make the adaption yourself.
