Vibraphone from Arrivederci Rumba
This is a new arrangement of a tune I wrote in 1992 for an album by "The Changing Times" (a group I was playing with at the time). George Shearing was a major influence on my piano style through the years and this arrangement is a basic synthesis of his style (interlocking fingers for the block chords and melody doubled by the vibes and guitar). Two of his best tracks ever are "How Beautiful is Night" and "I’ve Got You Under My Skin" with Barry Tuckwell.
