I owe a special thanks to Tony Markel, who premiered the piece earlier this year at a session with some friends in Ohio. Although some solo sections are specified, piano and clarinet can stretch out on the vamp virtually wherever they like. Once the piece is familiar, it could be arranged and rearranged "on the fly," adding new sections as needed. To facilitate this, the chord changes are spelled out in the piano part; obviously, the rhythm of the vamp is important, and keeping piano left hand & bass locked; beyond that, anything goes.
The revision of X-05 corrects various errors in notation.
