This string quartet is conventionally laid out, lyrical, and meant to be enjoyed! All four parts share the interest.
The four movements are called (1)"Order Prevails", (2)"Romance", (3)"Farewell Waltz" and (4)"Unexpected Reunion", but these titles are given to suggest the intended moods, and are NOT to be regarded as a ’programme’. (Musical sources: Movement 2 is adapted from "Jerry’s Flute Awakens", which a flautist requested me to compose in 2008. Movements 1 and 4 are adaptations of my double-bass trios "Miscellaneous Movement no.4" and "Miscellaneous Movement no.1" respectively, available on this website.)
